• Inspect the interior of the machine where the brew group travels for loose parts, screws, or coffee clumps.
• Remove any obstruction carefully.

Step 3 – Test operation:

• Reinstall the brew group and trays, plug in, and power on.
• Listen for grinding or slipping noises from the drive; these indicate gear damage.

Step 4 – Advanced mechanical inspection:

• With the housing removed (unplug first), inspect the brew drive motor and gear train.
• Look for cracked plastic gears or misaligned shafts.
• Rotate the gears by hand (with power off) to feel for binding.

Step 5 – Replace components:

• Replace the brew group if it is seized or damaged.
• Replace the drive gear set or motor if they are stripped or cannot move the group without overloading.
