Display shows “Error 60”; machine may not detect the presence of the CLARIS filter correctly.

Safety first: Unplug the machine before internal inspection.

Step 1 – Remove filter:

• Remove the CLARIS filter from the water tank.
• Fill the tank with fresh water and reinstall it without the filter.
• Update the machine settings to indicate no filter (if applicable).

Step 2 – Test operation:

• Power on and run a rinse cycle; if the error clears, the filter was likely at fault.

Step 3 – Replace filter:

• Install a new, genuine Jura CLARIS filter (Blue, Smart, or appropriate type for your model).
• Follow the on-screen prompts to activate the filter.

Step 4 – Descale if needed:

• If the error persists even without a filter, run a descaling cycle to clear the flow meter and lines.

Step 5 – Internal checks (advanced):

• Inspect the flow meter and filter recognition contacts (for Smart filters) for damage or scale.
• Replace the flow meter or recognition module if defective.
