Display shows “Error 9”; machine may not power up correctly or may shut down unexpectedly.

Safety first: This error often involves mains voltage. If you are not experienced with electronics, contact a Jura-authorized technician. Always unplug the machine before opening.

Step 1 – Basic checks:

• Verify the wall outlet is working by testing another appliance.
• Inspect the power cord for cuts, burns, or kinks; replace if damaged.
• Ensure the main power switch on the machine is fully in the ON position.

Step 2 – Power reset:

• Unplug the machine for at least 10 minutes to discharge internal capacitors.
• Plug back in and attempt to power on.

Step 3 – Internal inspection (advanced):

• Remove the housing (unplug first).
• Inspect the main control board for burnt components, bulging capacitors, or signs of moisture damage.
• Check that all low-voltage connectors are firmly seated.

Step 4 – Repair or replace board:

• If obvious damage is present, the main control board should be replaced as a complete unit.
• Because incorrect wiring can be hazardous, board replacement should generally be done by a professional.
