Possible Causes

Worn brew group piston seals, Leaking ceramic valve diverting flow, Cracked internal hose or connector, Overpressure valve opening due to blockage

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the machine and let it cool before opening.

Step 1 – Observe during brewing:

  • Remove the drip tray and watch inside (if visible) while brewing to see where water is exiting.

Step 2 – Clean and descale:

  • Run a cleaning tablet cycle and a descaling cycle to clear blockages that may cause overpressure.

Step 3 – Brew group inspection (advanced):

  • Remove the brew group and inspect piston seals for wear or cracks.
  • Replace seals or the entire brew group if they are worn.

Step 4 – Internal leak check:

  • With the housing removed (unplug first), inspect hoses, connectors, and the ceramic valve for leaks during a test brew.
  • Replace any leaking hoses, O-rings, or the ceramic valve if necessary.
