Possible Causes

Severe limescale in thermoblock, Blocked outlet nozzle, Clogged filter basket or paper filter collapsed, Blocked anti-drip valve in filter holder

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug and allow to cool before disassembling the filter holder.

  • Check filter basket: Remove the filter holder and basket. Ensure the paper filter is not folded over and blocking flow. Clean any coffee residue.
  • Clean anti-drip valve: Press the valve at the bottom of the filter holder under running water to clear blockages.
  • Descale thoroughly: Run at least one full descaling cycle. If flow is still poor, repeat once more.
  • Clean outlet nozzle: Use a toothpick or fine brush to clear the coffee outlet holes (with the machine unplugged and cold).
  • If still blocked: Internal tubing or the thermoblock may be fully scaled and require professional cleaning or replacement.
