How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off and unplug the machine before handling the water tank.
This error indicates the pump is running without sufficient water.
- Refill tank: Ensure the water tank is filled above the MIN mark and properly seated.
- Clean tank valve: If your Severin tank has a spring-loaded valve at the bottom, press it gently with a blunt object under running water to clear any debris.
- Descale: Run a descaling cycle to remove restrictions that can cause pump overload.
- Listen to pump: If the pump hums but no water moves even with a full tank and after descaling, the pump may be worn or seized.
- Do not run dry: Avoid repeatedly starting the machine with an empty tank, as this damages the pump.
- If E05 persists: The vibration pump should be tested and replaced if necessary.
