• Initial cleaning: Run at least 3 full tanks of plain water through the machine before first use, discarding the water each time.
• Use mild detergent: Wash removable parts (carafe, filter holder, water tank) with warm water and mild dish soap, then rinse thoroughly.
• Optional: Brew a cycle with water and a slice of lemon in the carafe, then rinse with two plain water cycles.
