Possible Causes
Aged Li-ion cells with reduced capacity, Repeated deep discharges, High-temperature storage, Manufacturing defect in battery pack
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not puncture or open the battery pack. Handle with care.
- Step 1 – Fully charge: Charge the vacuum until the battery indicator shows 100% or steady full lights.
- Step 2 – Measure runtime: Use the vacuum continuously on standard mode until it stops. Compare the runtime to the specification in the AEG manual.
- Step 3 – Repeat once: Perform one more full charge and discharge cycle to ensure the battery gauge is calibrated.
- Step 4 – Evaluate: If runtime remains significantly below specification and E12 appears, the battery pack has lost capacity.
- Step 5 – Replace battery: For removable-battery models, purchase and install a genuine AEG replacement battery pack. For fixed-battery models, arrange service with an authorised AEG center.
