Possible Causes

Battery too hot after heavy use, Charging in very cold room, Faulty temperature sensor in battery pack, Blocked ventilation around charging stand

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Do not attempt to cool or heat the battery artificially (no freezers, heaters, or direct sunlight).

  • Step 1 – Allow cooling or warming: If the vacuum was used heavily, let it rest for 30–60 minutes at room temperature before charging again.
  • Step 2 – Move to suitable environment: Charge the vacuum in a room between 10–30°C. Avoid garages or sheds that are very cold or hot.
  • Step 3 – Ensure ventilation: Make sure the AEG charging stand is not covered by cloth or placed in a confined cabinet. Allow air to circulate around the unit.
  • Step 4 – Retry charging: Place the vacuum back on the stand. If E13 clears and charging resumes, the issue was temperature-related.
  • Step 5 – Persistent E13 at normal room temperature: The battery temperature sensor (NTC) or BMS may be faulty. The battery pack will need professional replacement.
