Possible Causes
Broken wiring in motorised nozzle, Failed brush motor, Faulty brush motor PCB inside nozzle, Damaged connector pins between nozzle and tube
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove the battery or disconnect from charger before handling the nozzle.
- Step 1 – Check mechanical movement: Remove the nozzle and spin the brush roll by hand. If it rotates freely, the issue is likely electrical.
- Step 2 – Inspect connectors: Look at the electrical contacts on the nozzle neck and the mating contacts on the tube/handheld unit. Clean gently with a dry cloth and ensure none are bent or recessed.
- Step 3 – Test with another nozzle (if available): Attach a different AEG motorised nozzle. If it works, the original nozzle is faulty.
- Step 4 – Check for cable damage: On models with a wired tube, inspect the tube for cuts or kinks that may indicate internal cable damage.
- Step 5 – Replace nozzle: If the brush motor still does not run and E14 persists, replace the complete motorised floor nozzle assembly. Internal PCB and motor are usually not serviced separately.
