Possible Causes

Damaged wiring inside extension tube, Corroded electrical contacts, Faulty powered accessory PCB, Loose connector between tube and handheld unit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Switch OFF the vacuum and remove the battery or disconnect from charger before handling electrical connections.

  • Step 1 – Inspect tube connectors: Check both ends of the extension tube for bent, recessed, or corroded pins. Clean gently with a dry cloth.
  • Step 2 – Test accessories directly: If possible, connect the powered accessory (e.g., mini motorised nozzle) directly to the handheld unit, bypassing the tube. If it works, the tube wiring is suspect.
  • Step 3 – Wiggle test: With the vacuum OFF, gently flex the tube along its length. If you feel a sharp kink or hear something loose, internal wires may be broken.
  • Step 4 – Replace tube or accessory: If the fault follows a specific accessory, replace that accessory. If all powered tools fail only when the tube is used, replace the extension tube assembly.
  • Step 5 – Persistent E17 with all combinations: The power/communication driver on the main PCB may be faulty. Professional service is required.
