• Step 1 – Disable child lock: On many AEG cordless vacuums, press and hold the power button and mode button together for 3–5 seconds to toggle the lock. Refer to your model’s manual for the exact combination.
• Step 2 – Check buttons: Press each button several times to ensure it moves freely and is not stuck due to dirt or spilled liquids.
• Step 3 – Power cycle: Remove the battery (or disconnect from charger) for 1–2 minutes, then reconnect and try again.
• Step 4 – Persistent lock indication: If the lock icon remains and buttons are physically free, the keypad PCB or main control PCB may be faulty. Professional diagnosis is required.
