Possible Causes
Faulty power button switch, Damaged keypad PCB, Loose internal connector between keypad and main PCB, Firmware lockup
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the vacuum from the charger and, if possible, remove the battery before attempting resets.
- Step 1 – Attempt reset: With the battery removed (or vacuum off the charger), hold the power button for 10–15 seconds, then release. Reinstall the battery and try again.
- Step 2 – Check for stuck buttons: Press the power and mode buttons repeatedly to ensure they are not physically stuck.
- Step 3 – Verify battery charge: Confirm that the battery is fully charged by leaving it on the AEG charger until the indicator shows full.
- Step 4 – If still unresponsive: The keypad PCB or internal wiring is likely faulty. This requires disassembly and repair by an authorised AEG technician.
