Vacuum has very weak suction even though the motor sounds normal

Possible Causes
Clogged cyclone assembly, Blocked extension tube, Torn or missing bin gasket, Cracked dust container
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove it from the charger before disassembly.
- Step 1 – Empty and clean bin: Remove the dust container from the AEG handheld unit and empty it. Clean the cyclone and mesh screen thoroughly.
- Step 2 – Check for blockages: Look through the extension tube, nozzle neck, and any flexible hoses. Use a long, non-metallic rod or bottle brush to clear obstructions.
- Step 3 – Inspect seals and gaskets: Examine the rubber gasket where the bin meets the motor unit and any seals around the cyclone. Replace the bin or gasket if torn, flattened, or missing.
- Step 4 – Check for cracks: Inspect the dust container and cyclone housing for cracks that could cause air leaks. Replace damaged parts with genuine AEG components.
- Step 5 – Test suction: Reassemble and test suction at the handheld inlet without accessories. If suction is strong there but weak at the nozzle, the issue is in the tube or nozzle.
