AEG
Ineffective Agitation / Worn Brush Roll
Vacuum leaves debris behind and does not pick up well from carpets
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Worn or flattened brush bristles, Incorrect nozzle for carpet type, Blocked nozzle air channel, Brush roll not rotating at full speed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove the nozzle before inspection.
- Step 1 – Inspect bristles: Check the AEG brush roll for worn, flattened, or missing bristles. If the bristles are very short or soft, replace the brush roll.
- Step 2 – Clean nozzle channel: Remove any lint or hair from the suction opening and air channels in the nozzle.
- Step 3 – Confirm brush rotation: Run the vacuum briefly and observe the brush roll (keep fingers clear). If it turns slowly or intermittently, clean and, if needed, replace the nozzle.
- Step 4 – Use correct accessory: For deep carpets, use the dedicated AEG carpet nozzle if supplied, rather than a hard-floor roller.
