• 1. Verify correct charger: Confirm that the charger is the original Amazon Basics model specified for your cordless vacuum (check voltage and amperage on the label). Using an incompatible charger can trigger E5.
• 2. Inspect charger cable and plug: Look for cuts, kinks, or exposed wires. Check the barrel plug or slide contacts for bending or burn marks. Do not use a damaged charger.
• 3. Check the charge port: On models that charge through a port on the vacuum body, inspect the port for dust, bent pins, or looseness. Clean gently with a dry brush; do not insert metal tools.
• 4. Cool the battery: If the pack is warm from recent use, let it cool to room temperature for 30–60 minutes, then attempt charging again. The BMS may block charging when the pack is too hot.
