Possible Causes
Main floor brushroll jammed with hair or debris, Blocked air path in motor housing, Shorted motor windings in suction motor, Faulty motor driver MOSFET on main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch OFF the vacuum and remove the battery pack or disconnect from charger before working on the brush head.
- Step 1 – Clear the brushroll: Remove the motorized floor head from the wand. Open the brushroll cover (usually a latch or screws). Pull out the brushroll and cut away hair, threads, and fibers from both the bristles and the end caps.
- Step 2 – Check end bearings: Spin the brushroll by hand. It should rotate freely. If it feels rough or seized, the end bearings may be damaged and the brushroll should be replaced.
- Step 3 – Inspect air channels: Look through the suction channel in the floor head and wand for blockages (paper, toys, large debris). Remove any obstructions.
- Step 4 – Test without brush head: Reinstall the battery and run the vacuum with only the main body (no floor head). If E2 does not appear, the issue is in the motorized head. If E2 still appears, the main suction motor or control board may be overloaded.
If the error returns even with a clean, freely spinning brushroll, the motor or driver electronics may be failing. At that point, replacement of the motorized floor head or main motor assembly is recommended.
