Possible Causes

Clogged cyclone assembly in dust bin, HEPA exhaust filter completely blocked, Blocked wand or crevice tool, Faulty thermal fuse or NTC sensor on main motor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum, remove the battery, and allow the unit to cool for at least 30 minutes before disassembly.

  • Step 1 – Empty and clean dust bin: Remove the dust container and empty it completely. Tap the inner cyclone gently to dislodge fine dust. Wipe with a dry cloth.
  • Step 2 – Clean pre-motor filter: Locate the foam or fabric pre-motor filter inside the dust bin assembly. Remove and tap it gently outdoors. If the manual allows, rinse with lukewarm water only, then let it dry completely (24 hours) before reinstalling.
  • Step 3 – Clean HEPA exhaust filter: Remove the rear HEPA filter (often behind a grille). Tap off dust. If washable per Cecotec instructions, rinse with water and air-dry fully. Never reinstall a damp filter.
  • Step 4 – Check for blockages: Inspect the wand, flexible hose (if present), and all tools for clogs. Use a straight rod or broom handle gently to push out obstructions.
  • Step 5 – Test again: Reassemble with completely dry filters, reinstall the battery, and test. Use low or medium power first to confirm normal operation.

If E3 persists with clean filters and no blockages, the thermal sensor or motor windings may be defective. Professional diagnosis or motor assembly replacement is advised.
