Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery and detach the wand and floor head before inspecting electrical contacts.
- Step 1 – Inspect contacts: Look at the metal contacts on the end of the wand and on the motorized head. Clean gently with a dry cloth. If there is light oxidation, use a cotton swab with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol and let dry fully.
- Step 2 – Check mechanical fit: Reattach the wand and head firmly until they click. Loose connections can interrupt power to the brush motor.
- Step 3 – Test with another accessory: If you have another powered accessory (mini motorized brush), connect it to the wand and see if it runs. If it works, the floor head PCB or motor is likely faulty. If it does not, the wand wiring or main body output is suspect.
- Step 4 – Wiggle test: While the vacuum is running (use caution and keep fingers away from moving parts), gently wiggle the wand near both ends. If the brush cuts in and out, the internal wand cable may be broken.
Persistent E4 usually indicates a failed motorized head PCB or broken wand wiring. These parts are not typically user-repairable; replacing the complete motorized floor head or wand is the practical solution.
