Cordless vacuum runs for a few seconds then shuts off, E3 appears or three LEDs flash together.

Safety first: If the battery feels hot to the touch, stop using the vacuum immediately and let it cool in a well‑ventilated area away from flammable materials.

• Step 1 – Allow cooling: Turn the vacuum off and remove it from the charger. Let it sit for at least 30–60 minutes. Do not place it in a fridge or freezer.
• Step 2 – Check ventilation: Inspect the air vents around the motor and battery housing. Remove dust build‑up with a soft brush or compressed air. Blocked vents can cause overheating.
• Step 3 – Normal use test: After cooling, run the vacuum on low power first. If E3 only appears on turbo mode after a short time, reduce usage on maximum power and clean filters more frequently to reduce load.
• Step 4 – Inspect battery pack: If E3 appears immediately from cold, the NTC sensor or BMS board may be faulty. Open the battery compartment (if user‑serviceable) and check the small sensor wires on the pack for damage or disconnection.
• Step 5 – Replace battery module: On most Clatronic cordless vacuums the temperature sensor is integrated into the battery pack. Replace the complete Li‑ion battery module with an original or compatible Clatronic pack if the error persists.
