Possible Causes
Faulty voltage sense circuit on PCB, Loose battery sense wire, Corroded battery connector, Firmware calibration lost after battery replacement
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the vacuum and remove the battery before inspecting internal wiring.
- Step 1 – Full charge and discharge: Charge the vacuum fully until the charger indicates full. Then run the vacuum continuously on normal mode until it stops. Recharge fully again. This can recalibrate some battery gauges.
- Step 2 – Inspect connectors: Open the battery compartment and check the multi‑pin connector between the battery pack and PCB. Look for corrosion or loose pins. Clean gently and reseat.
- Step 3 – Check sense wires: Some packs have thin sense wires for cell monitoring. Ensure none are broken or pinched.
- Step 4 – Replace pack or PCB: If E9 persists, try replacing the battery pack first. If the issue remains with a new pack, the main PCB’s sensing circuit is likely faulty and should be replaced.
