Possible Causes
Brush roll jammed with hair, Shorted brush motor in floor nozzle, Damaged wiring in extension tube, Faulty nozzle recognition circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the vacuum and remove the battery. Disconnect the motorized floor nozzle from the tube.
- Step 1 – Clear brush roll: Turn the nozzle over and remove the brush roll (usually by unlocking end caps). Cut away hair, threads, and debris. Ensure the brush spins freely by hand.
- Step 2 – Inspect nozzle wiring: Check the electrical contacts on the nozzle and tube for bent pins or burn marks. Clean gently.
- Step 3 – Test without nozzle: Run the vacuum with just the main body. If it runs normally, reconnect the nozzle and test again. If F3 returns only with the nozzle, the nozzle motor or wiring is faulty.
- Step 4 – Replace nozzle or tube: If the brush motor feels stiff, smells burnt, or blows the error immediately, replace the complete motorized floor nozzle. If moving the tube causes intermittent F3, replace the extension tube with integrated wiring.
