Possible Causes
Worn motor bearings, Debris in motor fan, Bent fan blades, Motor shaft misalignment after impact
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before opening the motor housing. Do not run the motor with covers removed.
- Step 1 – Isolate noise source: Remove the tube and nozzle and run the vacuum briefly. If the noise remains, it is likely from the motor, not the accessories.
- Step 2 – Inspect for debris: Open the housing to access the motor. Check the fan area for foreign objects and remove them carefully.
- Step 3 – Check fan and bearings: Spin the motor shaft by hand (with power disconnected). Roughness, wobble, or scraping sounds indicate bearing or fan damage.
- Step 4 – Replace motor assembly: Motor bearings and fans are usually not serviceable on Clatronic cordless vacuums. Replace the complete motor assembly with a compatible unit.
