Possible Causes
Bin not fully closed after emptying, Broken bin latch, Debris obstructing latch mechanism, Bin microswitch not engaged
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Remove the battery before working on the bin mechanism.
- Refit bin: Remove the bin completely (if your model allows) and then slide it back into place until it clicks and feels secure.
- Check latch: Inspect the latch and hinge for cracks or broken plastic. Ensure the bottom flap closes fully.
- Clear debris: Remove any dust or objects around the latch and hinge that may prevent full closure.
- Test switch engagement: Gently press the bin into the body while pulling the trigger. If it runs only when pressed, the latch or bin switch is misaligned and the bin assembly may need replacement.
