Possible Causes
Large object stuck in cleaner head, Excessive hair wrapped around brush bar ends, Foreign object lodged in brush housing, Brush bar bearings seized
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Remove the battery and disconnect the cleaner head before clearing jams.
- Disassemble head: Remove the brush bar via the end cap or release latch. Note the orientation for reassembly.
- Remove debris: Pull out any large objects (toys, socks, etc.) from the brush housing and suction channel. Cut away tightly wound hair from the brush bar and end bearings.
- Check rotation: Spin the brush bar shafts by hand. If stiff or seized, clean the bearing areas. If still tight, replace the brush bar assembly.
- Reassemble: Refit the brush bar and end cap, ensuring it clicks into place and spins freely.
- Test: Reattach the head, refit the battery, and briefly test. If the jam warning returns immediately with a free‑spinning bar, the brush motor or overload sensor may be faulty and the head should be replaced.
