Possible Causes
Hair or string jammed around brush bar, Broken brush bar drive belt (on some heads), Failed brush bar motor, Damaged electrical connection in cleaner head or wand
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off and remove the battery. Never work on the brush bar while the vacuum is powered.
- Remove cleaner head: Detach the motorized head from the wand and main body.
- Clear jams: Open the end cap (usually with a coin) and remove the brush bar. Cut away hair, string, and fibers with scissors, avoiding the bristles.
- Inspect bearings and belt: Spin the brush bar by hand; it should rotate freely. On heads with belts, check for a snapped or stretched belt and replace if necessary.
- Check electrical contacts: Inspect the metal contacts on the neck of the cleaner head and the wand for dirt or damage. Clean gently with a dry cloth.
- Test with another head/wand: If available, connect a different motorized head or wand. If the alternate head works, replace the faulty cleaner head. If none work, the issue may be in the wand wiring or main body PCB.
