Vacuum bin is difficult to open or the red release lever is stuck.

Safety: Remove the battery before attempting to free the bin mechanism.

• Gently work the lever: Apply moderate pressure to the red release lever while supporting the bin. Do not force excessively to avoid breaking it.
• Clean around mechanism: Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust from around the red lever and hinge.
• Remove bin (if possible): On models that allow bin removal, slide the bin off the cyclone and clean the rails and latch thoroughly.
• Lubrication: If the mechanism is dry and squeaky, apply a tiny amount of dry silicone spray to the sliding surfaces (avoid getting any on filters or inside airways).
• Replace bin assembly: If the lever or linkage is cracked or still jams, replace the entire bin assembly.
