Possible Causes
Failed Eureka wall charger, Faulty charging dock contacts, Broken power cord, Blown internal fuse in charger
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the charger from the wall before inspecting it.
Steps to try:
- Test outlet: Plug a lamp or phone charger into the same outlet to confirm it has power.
- Inspect charger LED: Plug the Eureka charger into the wall without the battery. The charger LED should light (steady or standby). If it stays off, the charger is likely defective.
- Check dock contacts: If using a wall-mounted dock, inspect the metal contacts for dust or oxidation. Clean gently with a dry cloth.
- Direct charge (if supported): Remove the battery and connect it directly to the charger, bypassing the dock. If it charges this way, the dock is faulty.
- Replace charger: If the charger LED never lights and the cord shows signs of damage (kinks, cuts), replace the Eureka OEM charger with the correct voltage and amperage rating.
