Possible Causes

Weak or aged battery pack, High resistance in battery contacts, Partially shorted main motor, Faulty high-power MOSFET on control PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery before inspecting contacts or opening the housing.

Steps to try:

  • Check battery age: If the battery is more than 2–3 years old or has many charge cycles, it may no longer support high current draw.
  • Clean contacts: Wipe the battery and vacuum contacts with a dry cloth. Ensure they are not burnt or pitted.
  • Test on low vs. high: Run the vacuum on low for several minutes. If it is stable on low but immediately faults on high, the battery or motor is likely at fault.
  • Try a new battery: If possible, test with a new or known-good Eureka battery. If high mode works, replace the original battery.
  • Motor check: If a new battery does not resolve the issue, the motor may be drawing too much current on high. Replace the motor assembly or main body module.
