• Reinstall dust cup: Remove the dust cup completely and reinstall it, ensuring it clicks firmly into place. Push upward and forward as specified in the Eureka manual.
• Inspect latch: Check the plastic latch tab on the dust cup and the catch on the main body. If cracked or worn, the cup may not engage the sensor.
• Check sensor lever: Look inside the main body where the dust cup seats. Some models have a small lever or switch that is pressed by the cup. Ensure it moves freely.
• Test with gentle pressure: With the battery installed, hold the dust cup firmly against the body and try running the vacuum. If it works only when pressed, the latch or cup is worn and should be replaced.
• Replace dust cup assembly: If the cup is deformed or the latch is broken, replace the dust cup assembly to restore proper sensor engagement.
