Possible Causes

Loose connector between main body and handle PCB, Damaged control PCB from impact, Faulty sensor (e.g., brushroll sensor, temperature sensor), Broken wiring harness

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery before opening any housings.

Steps to try:

  • Power reset: Remove the battery for 5 minutes, then reinstall and try again. This can clear transient sensor faults.
  • Check body-to-nozzle connection: Remove the wand and nozzle, then reattach firmly. Some Eureka cordless models use contact pins that must align correctly.
  • Inspect for physical damage: Look for cracks in the housing, especially around the handle and battery compartment. If the unit was dropped, internal boards may be cracked.
  • Open handle housing (advanced): If comfortable, remove screws from the handle/main body shell and gently separate. Check all connectors between the trigger board, main PCB, and sensor leads. Reseat any loose plugs.
  • Replace damaged PCB: If you see burnt components or cracked boards, replace the main control PCB or handle PCB as a complete assembly.
