Possible Causes
Clogged cyclone assembly, Full or blocked dust cup, Clogged pre-motor filter, Cracked wand or hose causing air leak
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove the battery before cleaning.
Steps to try:
- Empty dust cup: Remove and empty the dust cup. Clean the interior and check the bottom flap for proper sealing.
- Clean cyclone: Remove the cyclone unit and tap it gently to dislodge fine dust. Use a soft brush to clean the mesh screen.
- Clean filters: Remove foam/felt pre-motor filters and the HEPA/post-motor filter. Clean or replace according to the Eureka manual.
- Inspect wand and nozzle: Detach the wand and look through it toward a light source. Remove any visible clogs. Check the nozzle neck and air channels for blockages.
- Check for cracks: Examine the wand and dust cup for cracks that could cause air leaks. Replace damaged parts.
