Battery Pack Voltage / Cell Imbalance Fault
Vacuum powers on briefly then shuts off within a few seconds; low-battery LED flashes even after full charge.

Possible Causes
Degraded Li-Ion cells in battery pack, Faulty battery management PCB inside pack, Poor contact between battery and vacuum terminals, Defective Grundig charger
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not open the battery pack housing; Li-Ion cells can be hazardous if punctured or shorted.
- 1. Fully charge: Place the vacuum on the Grundig charging base or connect the charger directly. Allow at least 3–4 hours of uninterrupted charging until the charge indicator shows full.
- 2. Check charger LED behavior: If the charger LED never turns solid or blinks abnormally, the charger may be faulty. Test with another compatible Grundig charger if possible.
- 3. Clean contacts: Disconnect from mains. Clean the metal contacts on both the battery and the charging dock/handle with a dry cloth. Ensure there is no oxidation or debris.
- 4. Reseat battery: Remove and reinstall the battery pack, ensuring it locks firmly. Loose fit can cause voltage drop and trigger E02.
- 5. Test runtime: Run the vacuum on normal mode (not turbo). If it still shuts off within seconds and the low-battery LED flashes, the internal cells or BMS are likely failing.
- 6. Replace battery pack: Obtain a genuine Grundig replacement Li-Ion battery pack specified for your cordless model. Swap the pack according to the user manual. If the fault persists with a new pack, the main control PCB or current-sense circuit may be defective and requires professional service.
