Possible Causes
Seized main suction motor bearings, Foreign object lodged in motor fan, Faulty motor Hall sensor or tachometer feedback, Damaged motor driver circuit on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack before any disassembly. Do not insert tools into the motor vents while powered.
- 1. Check for blockages near motor: Remove the dust bin and pre-motor filter. Look into the motor inlet for visible debris. Do not push objects deep into the motor.
- 2. Spin motor fan (if accessible): On some Grundig models, you can gently rotate the fan through the inlet with a non-metallic stick. It should move freely. If it is jammed, the motor may need replacement.
- 3. Reset electronics: Remove the battery for 5 minutes, then reinstall and try again. Sometimes the control PCB needs a power reset after a stall.
- 4. Test without attachments: Run the handheld unit alone. If E07 appears immediately, the issue is internal to the motor or control PCB.
- 5. Professional service: Replacing the main suction motor or motor driver components requires opening the main body and dealing with high-speed motor wiring. This should be done by a qualified technician.
