Possible Causes
Shorted brush motor in floor nozzle, Damaged wiring harness in wand, Shorted LED light strip in nozzle, Corroded electrical contacts causing arcing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack before connecting or disconnecting powered accessories.
- 1. Isolate the fault: Run the handheld unit alone. If it works without E10, attach the wand only and test. Then attach the floor nozzle. The component that triggers E10 is likely faulty.
- 2. Inspect wand wiring: Look along the wand for crush damage or kinks. Check the electrical connectors at both ends for bent pins or burn marks.
- 3. Inspect nozzle: Open the brush head and look for signs of melted plastic near the motor or LED wiring. If present, the nozzle assembly should be replaced.
- 4. Clean contacts: Wipe all electrical contacts with a dry cloth. Ensure there is no moisture inside the nozzle housing.
- 5. Replace faulty accessory: If E10 appears only when a specific nozzle or wand is attached, replace that accessory with a genuine Grundig part. If E10 appears even with no accessories, the main PCB's accessory power circuit may be damaged and requires service.
