Possible Causes

Faulty trigger switch in handle, Misaligned safety interlock between body and dust bin, Broken trigger linkage, Damaged wiring from trigger to control PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery pack before inspecting the trigger or bin interlock.

Step-by-step:

  • 1. Check dust bin fitment: Remove and refit the dust bin or pod, ensuring it clicks firmly into place. Many Henry cordless models have an interlock that prevents operation if the bin is not seated.
  • 2. Inspect interlock tab: Look for a small plastic tab or magnet on the bin that engages a switch on the body. If the tab is broken or bent, the machine will not start.
  • 3. Test trigger feel: With the battery removed, pull the trigger repeatedly. It should have a consistent, springy feel. A loose or sticking trigger suggests a mechanical fault.
  • 4. Observe any indicator changes: Refit the battery and watch the LEDs while gently pressing the trigger. If nothing changes, the trigger switch or wiring may be open circuit.

When to stop: Repairing or replacing the trigger switch and internal wiring requires opening the handle and body. If E10 persists after confirming the bin is correctly fitted, contact a service centre.
