How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove the battery pack before working on the floor head or motor area.
Step-by-step:
- 1. Inspect the brush bar: Remove the motorised Henry cordless floor head from the wand. Turn it over and check the brush bar for hair, string, or threads wrapped around it. Use scissors to carefully cut and remove all obstructions.
- 2. Check brush bar rotation: With the battery removed, try to rotate the brush bar by hand. It should turn freely with slight resistance. If it is stiff or seized, the brush bar bearings may be worn or jammed.
- 3. Clear the air path: Inspect the neck of the floor head, the wand, and the hose for blockages. Remove any debris that could cause the motor to work harder.
- 4. Test without floor head: Fit a simple tool (like a crevice tool) directly to the body and run the vacuum. If E3 does not appear, the fault is likely in the motorised floor head. If E3 still appears, the main suction motor may be drawing excessive current.
- 5. Check for unusual noises or smells: Listen for grinding, squealing, or burning smells from the motor area. These indicate internal motor damage.
When to stop: If the brush bar is free and airflow is clear but E3 persists, the motor or control PCB is likely faulty. Do not continue to reset and run the unit; seek professional service.
