Possible Causes
Defective Henry cordless charger, Battery pack temperature out of range, Damaged battery pack cells, Poor contact between charger and battery
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the charger from the mains before inspecting. Do not open the charger or battery pack.
Step-by-step:
- 1. Check mains outlet: Plug another device (like a lamp) into the same socket to confirm it has power.
- 2. Inspect charger and cable: Look for cuts, kinks, or crushed sections in the charger lead. Check the charger plug and housing for cracks or burn marks. If damaged, stop using it immediately.
- 3. Clean contacts: On the battery and charger interface, gently clean the metal contacts with a dry cloth. Ensure there is no corrosion or debris.
- 4. Charge in a suitable environment: Move the charger and battery to a dry indoor area between 10–30°C. Very cold or hot conditions can prevent charging.
- 5. Try a different battery or charger (if available): If you have another Henry cordless battery, test it on the charger. If neither battery charges, the charger is likely faulty. If the second battery charges normally, the original battery is likely defective.
When to stop: If the charger LED continues to show a fault and the battery becomes hot, unplug immediately and contact an authorised service centre. Do not attempt to open or repair the charger or battery pack.
