How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack before working on the floor head. Do not touch the brush bar while the unit is powered.
Step-by-step:
- 1. Remove the floor head: Detach the Henry cordless floor head from the wand.
- 2. Clear the brush bar: Turn the head upside down. Remove any access plate or end cap as per the user manual. Cut away hair, threads, and fibres from the brush bar and end bearings.
- 3. Check brush bar movement: Rotate the brush bar by hand. It should move freely. If it is stiff, the bearings may be worn or contaminated.
- 4. Inspect for belt (if applicable): Some Henry cordless heads use a small drive belt between the motor and brush bar. If the belt is broken or stretched, it must be replaced with the correct Henry part.
- 5. Check the neck wiring: Inspect the swivel neck where the head connects to the wand for visible cable damage or kinks.
- 6. Test again: Reassemble the head, refit to the wand, reinstall the battery, and test. If the brush still does not spin but suction is normal, the brush motor or internal wiring is likely faulty.
When to stop: If E6 persists after cleaning and basic checks, the floor head assembly usually needs replacement. Internal motor and wiring repairs are not recommended for end users.
