Possible Causes
Clogged pre‑motor filter, Full or compacted dust bin, Blocked hose or wand, Blocked Henry cordless floor head inlet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack before cleaning filters or clearing blockages.
Step-by-step:
- 1. Empty the dust bin: Remove the bin and empty it completely. Tap the sides to loosen compacted dust.
- 2. Clean the pre‑motor filter: Remove the main filter from the top or inside of the bin. Tap it gently outdoors to remove dust. If the manual allows, rinse with lukewarm water only and let it dry for at least 24 hours before refitting.
- 3. Check for secondary filters: Some Henry cordless models have an exhaust or post‑motor filter. Remove and clean or replace it according to the manual.
- 4. Inspect hose and wand: Detach both ends and look through them. Use a flexible rod to push out any clogs, taking care not to puncture the hose.
- 5. Clear the floor head: Remove the floor head and inspect the inlet and internal channels for blockages. Remove debris by hand or with a small brush.
- 6. Reassemble and test: Once all parts are clean and dry, reassemble and test suction with and without the floor head to confirm improvement.
