Vacuum makes a grinding or rattling noise from the floor head

Safety first: Remove the battery pack before working on the floor head.

Step-by-step:

• 1. Remove floor head: Detach it from the wand and turn it upside down.
• 2. Inspect for objects: Look for small items (coins, stones, toys) lodged near the brush bar or wheels and remove them.
• 3. Check brush bar bearings: Rotate the brush bar by hand. If it feels rough, grinds, or has side‑to‑side play, the bearings are worn.
• 4. Tighten visible screws: If accessible, gently tighten any loose screws on the base plate or brush bar end caps.

If grinding persists or the brush bar is damaged, replace the brush bar or the complete Henry cordless floor head assembly.
