Possible Causes

Discharged Nuron battery pack, Defective battery pack B 22 / B 22‑85, Dirty or damaged battery contacts on tool, Faulty main control PCB in vacuum

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery pack before any inspection. Do not attempt to bypass battery protection circuits.

  • Check battery charge: Insert the Hilti Nuron or 22V battery (e.g., B 22‑85, B 22‑55) into a Hilti charger (C 4‑22, C 7/36). Verify that the charger LEDs indicate normal charging. If the charger shows a battery fault, replace the battery.
  • Try a known-good battery: Use another fully charged Hilti battery of the same voltage. If the vacuum powers on with the second battery, the original battery is defective.
  • Inspect battery contacts: With the battery removed, inspect the vacuum’s battery interface contacts for corrosion, bent pins, or debris. Clean gently with a dry brush or compressed air. Do not use solvents.
  • Check for overheating lockout: If the tool was used heavily, allow both battery and vacuum to cool for at least 20–30 minutes, then retry.
  • If still no power: The main control PCB or power input module inside the vacuum may be faulty. Further diagnosis requires opening the housing and should be done by a qualified technician.
