Possible Causes
Using non-Hilti or incompatible battery, Dirty or bent data contacts on battery interface, Faulty battery B 22 communication line, Damaged battery detection circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack before cleaning contacts.
- Use only Hilti batteries: Ensure you are using a genuine Hilti Nuron or 22V battery recommended for the vacuum model. Third-party batteries may not communicate correctly and can be unsafe.
- Clean contacts: Inspect both the battery and tool contacts, including any smaller data pins. Clean gently with a dry, lint-free cloth or soft brush. Do not use abrasive tools.
- Test with another Hilti battery: Insert a different, fully charged Hilti battery. If the vacuum works, the original battery’s communication circuit is likely defective.
- Check charger status: Place the suspect battery on a Hilti charger and verify that it charges normally and does not show a fault LED.
- If all batteries fail with E6: The tool’s battery communication circuit on the PCB may be damaged. This requires PCB replacement by a service technician.
