Possible Causes
Blocked dust sensor port, Severely clogged main filter, Faulty differential pressure sensor on PCB, Air leak around filter seal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack and wear a dust mask when handling dirty filters.
- Clean or replace filter: Remove the main filter and pre-filter. Tap off dust outdoors or replace with new Hilti filters if they are saturated or damaged.
- Inspect filter seal: Check the rubber gasket around the filter frame. Ensure it is seated correctly and not torn. An air leak can confuse the sensor.
- Clean sensor ports: If your model has visible small holes or channels near the filter compartment (pressure sensor ports), gently clear them with low-pressure air. Do not insert sharp objects.
- Reassemble carefully: Reinstall the filter fully and close the cover until it latches securely. Loose covers can trigger sensor faults.
- If E7 persists: The internal pressure/dust sensor or its circuit may be defective. Have the vacuum inspected and the sensor or PCB replaced by Hilti service.
