E5
Hoover H-Free
Battery Temperature / Performance Limiting
Vacuum runs only on low power, will not switch to turbo/boost, red LED flashes five times

Possible Causes
Battery pack overheated from extended turbo use, Battery temperature sensor fault, Aged battery with high internal resistance
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not continue to run the vacuum if the battery feels hot to the touch.
- Allow cooling: Remove the battery and let it cool at room temperature for at least 30 minutes away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
- Check ventilation: Ensure the battery vents and vacuum body vents are not blocked by dust. Wipe with a dry cloth.
- Avoid continuous turbo: Use turbo/boost mode in short bursts. Continuous use can overheat the battery and trigger protection.
- Test after cooling: Refit the battery and try switching to turbo. If the vacuum still refuses to enter high power and shows E5, the battery may be degraded.
- Replace battery: If runtime is reduced and E5 recurs frequently under normal use, replace the Hoover H-Free battery pack.
