Possible Causes
Shorted motor in mini turbo brush, Jammed pet hair tool, Damaged wiring in accessory, Faulty accessory PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Remove the battery and detach all accessories before inspection.
- Identify the faulty tool: Run the vacuum with no accessories. If it works, attach each motorised tool (mini turbo brush, pet tool) one at a time until E9 appears. The last tool attached is likely faulty.
- Check for jams: On the suspect tool, remove the brush roll and clear hair, string, and debris. Ensure the brush spins freely.
- Inspect wiring and connector: Look for bent pins, loose wires, or burn marks at the accessory connector.
- Test again: Reassemble the tool and test. If E9 recurs only with that accessory, its motor or internal electronics are damaged.
- Replace accessory: Replace the faulty Hoover H-Free motorised accessory with a genuine part.
