Rattling or grinding noise from floorhead when brush bar is spinning

Safety: Remove the battery and detach the floorhead before working on the brush bar.

• Remove brush bar: Unlock and pull out the brush bar from the floorhead.
• Inspect end caps: Remove the end caps (if removable) and check for hair, grit, or melted plastic. Clean thoroughly.
• Spin by hand: Rotate the brush bar. It should spin smoothly. Any grinding or stiffness indicates bearing damage.
• Replace brush bar: If bearings are worn or noisy after cleaning, replace the Hoover H-Free brush bar assembly.
