Hoover H-Free
Brush Bar Bristle Wear / Floorhead Performance Loss
Vacuum leaves lines of debris and does not pick up well from carpets despite normal suction at the wand

Possible Causes
Worn-down brush bar bristles, Incorrect floorhead height for carpet, Debris blocking front intake lip
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Remove the battery and detach the floorhead.
- Inspect bristles: Compare the brush bar bristle length to the original (or to the centre vs ends). If bristles are very short or uneven, they cannot agitate carpet effectively.
- Clean intake lip: Remove fluff and hair from the front edge of the floorhead where debris enters.
- Check brush rotation: Ensure the brush spins freely and is powered when the vacuum is on.
- Replace brush bar: If bristles are worn or the bar is damaged, fit a new Hoover H-Free brush bar designed for your floor type.
