Possible Causes

Full dust bin, Clogged cyclone assembly, Severely dirty pre‑motor filter, Blocked inlet at floor nozzle

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove the battery before cleaning.

  • Empty the dust bin: Remove the dust container and empty it completely. Tap gently to dislodge compacted debris from the cyclone shroud.
  • Clean cyclone and mesh: Remove the internal cyclone cone or mesh screen (if removable). Brush off fine dust with a soft brush. If the manual allows, rinse with water and let dry fully.
  • Service filters: Remove the pre‑motor filter and HEPA filter. Tap off dust. Wash only if specified by Insignia’s manual and allow 24 hours to dry.
  • Check nozzle and wand: Inspect the floor nozzle inlet and wand for clogs. Remove any large debris or blockages.
  • Reset and test: Reassemble all components, reinstall the battery, and test. If E8 persists with clean filters and bin, the airflow sensor or pressure switch may be faulty.
