Possible Causes
Depleted lithium‑ion battery pack, Faulty battery protection PCB inside battery, Damaged battery contacts in handle, Failed main power switch on handle
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Power the unit OFF and remove the battery pack from the vacuum before any inspection. Do not short battery terminals.
- Check battery charge: Insert the OKP battery pack into the original OKP charger. Confirm the charger LED turns on and begins charging. Allow at least 3–4 hours for a full charge. Try powering the vacuum again.
- Inspect battery contacts: With the battery removed, inspect the metal contacts on both the battery pack and the vacuum handle. Look for bent pins, corrosion, or debris. Clean gently with a dry cloth or cotton swab. Do not use water or spray cleaners.
- Test with another outlet/charger: Plug the charger into a different wall outlet. If available, test with a known‑good OKP charger to rule out a charger fault.
- Reseat the battery: Firmly insert the battery until it clicks. A loose battery can trigger E1. Try powering on while holding the battery tightly in place.
- If E1 persists: The internal battery protection PCB or main power switch may be faulty. Disassembly of the battery pack or handle is not recommended for untrained users due to fire/shock risk. Replace the OKP lithium‑ion battery pack as a unit. If a new battery does not resolve the issue, contact a technician to test/replace the main handle power switch assembly.
